Freeport, Grand Bahama – Without a doubt, the future has come to Grand Bahama with the launch of Bahamas Vacationer’s Tesla City Tours, offering an exclusive line of luxury with the introduction of the Tesla Model X.

Apex International Marketing Group of Companies, the parent company of Bahamas Vacationer, unveiled this sleek seven-seater electric SUV in black and white at its launch ceremony on April 6th and car show on April 7th, 2018.

Apex Founders Emile and Paris Jarrett own and operate a number of businesses, restaurants and outlets offering tours and excursions throughout Freeport, Grand Bahama and Paradise Island, New Providence.

During the private launch at the Seabreeze Vacation Villas and Country Club timeshare property situated at #2 Port of Call Drive, the dynamic duo was hailed as the frontrunners in Grand Bahama whose futuristic insight have catapulted them light years ahead of the competition.

Mick Holding, President of the Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce, said he was encouraged to see such a fresh idea being birthed with the timeshare resort which, he added, may be the model for future timeshares in the industry. He was equally pleased with the new dimension the owners were offering its guests with Tesla City Tours as a destination package.

TESLA DEMO – Guests at the Tesla City Tours launch were wowed by the Tesla Model X demonstration and were further blown away when they were afforded a ride in the sleek new luxury seven-seater models.

“I commend you in having the foresight to invest in this and the confidence that things are going to change. I think what you’ve done will help to bring that change about,” Holding said.

Resolved that electric cars are the future, the GBCC executive noted that aside from the obvious benefits to buying one being lower fuel and maintenance costs, it is environmentally safer and the import duty is significantly less.

“You are the pioneers,” Holding said. “I don’t know of any other company, other than the power company that I know has got two trucks that are likely powered, I certainly think in your business sector you are the pioneers of introducing electric cars. You are starting the future.”

Grand Bahama Port Authority (GBPA) President Ian Rolle is also convinced the launch of Tesla City Tours is a step in the right direction for Grand Bahama as the island is touted to become the technology hub of The Bahamas.

“Anybody who knows me knows that I am a technology enthusiast, so this is definitely a special moment for me,” Rolle said, while pointing out that the addition of the Tesla Model X to Grand Bahama’s corporate and tourism sector will be a key selling point to both tourists and investors alike.

Rolle also expressed his admiration for Tesla City Tours founders whom he describes as veterans in the hospitality industry who somehow keep finding ways to reinvent themselves over the past 28 years.

“Their undeniable passion and devotion to the survival of our tourism sector is highly commendable,” the GBPA president stressed. Rolle said the Jarretts are a fine example of what entrepreneurship should be like and encouraged to support Tesla City Tours.

“This is exactly the sort of thing that we at the Grand Bahama Port Authority talk about when we mention offering unique attractions and diversifying the market. Tesla’s brand name is not only recognized globally, but is also synonymous with innovation and has proven it worth year after year as the company to invest in,” he added.

Long-time business partner and RCI Director of Business Development John Dishinger wasn’t surprised to be celebrating such an innovative undertaking with the founders whom, he said, are always thinking outside the box, also agreed that the new Tesla addition will be a great benefit for the club and The Bahamas’ tourism industry.

In revealing his commitment to the brand, Tesla representative for South America and the Caribbean Juan Pablo Velez said he believed he had finally found a company that matches everything he believes in – a better way to provide future generations a better future and a better planet.

What keeps the Tesla family going, he said, is a commitment to provide the best service in the automotive industry.

Before the big reveal, Tesla City Tours President Emile Jarrett Sr. told his guests that the impetus behind the new venture was to take their service to another level.

“We in Grand Bahama must give it everything we have, then and only then would we begin to reap the harvest that is presently there,” he assured.
