Freeport, Grand Bahama Island - Weddings Beautiful Bahamas is pleased to announce the certification of 3 new individuals as Certified Wedding Specialists. Lynne Fraino, Carmel Churchill and Valencia McKenzie all successfully completed the training course and join the Weddings Beautiful Bahamas Family.

V.I.P. Services Ltd., a Bahamian company, offers the coursework locally under the brand of Weddings Beautiful Bahamas and the Caribbean Islands.   They are affiliated with Weddings Beautiful Worldwide, America’s #1 Certification Program for Wedding Planners and Coordinators, who also provide their training programme around the world. “It is my desire to ensure that persons in this industry are properly trained so that The Bahamas will be the number one choice for Brides seeking a destination wedding,” says Janet A. Albury, CWS of V.I.P. Services Ltd.

The Certification Program has 18 assignments which concentrate on teaching students how to be a wedding planner and co-ordinator and also small business owners. “I’ve learnt more about starting my own business, balancing personal life with work and marketing myself from this program” says success story Carmel Churchill. “I can certainly say that I am now officially a professional in my field” she says.

Each comprehensive assignment is followed by an examination which, upon completion, is returned to WBB for grading. It is later returned to students with a personalized note and/or corrections. The program is designed as self-study correspondence course, however, V.I.P. Services takes it one step further and offers once a month classroom sessions, in order to better assist its students.   This provides students with a greater level of independence, flexibility and ability to dialogue directly with a trained wedding professional. Upon successful completion of the course of study and the final exam, candidates receive a certificate designating them as a ‘Certified Wedding Specialist’.

As the field of wedding planning continues to expand worldwide, more opportunities are being made for individuals with the natural talent and the drive to contribute significantly to the industry. “As an event manager, I know first-hand how substantial the wedding industry is” says Lynne Fraino. “I would recommend the course to anyone who is interested in the thrilling trade of planning special events.”

“Brides are beginning to use this service” says Valencia McKenzie “they recognize the need for professional guidance through the long process of planning their weddings”. She says that being a part of someone’s most precious day is “fulfilling in more ways than one”.

Janet A. Albury, President of V.I.P. Services Ltd. has been a featured guest speaker at annual Wedding Seminars sponsored by the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism on Grand Bahama Island and the Abacos.
