American male and female found in possession of unlicensed firearm in Grand Bahama

Freeport, Grand Bahama - An American male and female are in police custody after they were found in possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.

Reports are that on Thursday 22nd September 2016 shortly after 8:00pm, acting on information, police went to a residence in the Fortune Bay area and arrested the American couple after they were found in possession of a 7.62 rifle with (75) rounds of ammunition and a black and chrome Mossberg 12 gauge shotgun with (21) shotgun shells. They are expected to be arraigned before the Magistrate Court early next week.

Police are actively investigating this matter.

Police are also urging anyone who may have any information regarding any crime, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477)
