Freeport, Bahamas - Status of the woman committee is a subsidiary of Bahamas Union of Teachers.

During their monthly meeting they held a diabetes and hypertension awareness session. The aim of the meeting was to bring about awareness to teachers and also to provide information to help manage these diseases basically the sessions is held to empower teachers.
