Freeport, Grand Bahama – Since the early eighties, the Junior Achievement (JA) organization has been mentoring the minds of up-and-coming young entrepreneurs on Grand Bahama. And since its inception, The Grand Bahama Port Authority, Limited (GBPA) has been an avid supporter of the initiative.

Recently, the GBPA sponsored group captured the JA title of  ‘Company of The Year’ for the second consecutive year. On Friday past, the leadership team of GBPA Bolts, inclusive of vice presidents and assistants, paid a courtesy call on GBPA executives and management. The visit served a dual purpose of allowing students to express their thanks for the  Port Authority’s support during the 2013/2014 JA Company year, along with providing management with an annual report for the Company.

You have productive ideas the country needs to move forward; you are fearless team players and you are prepared to work hard. These attributes are all essential for success. Keep up the great work and continue to pursue your goals with excellence,” Rolle advised them.

The young visiting team consisted of 10 students (VPs and Assistants) and 5 Advisors who guided the business savvy group of students to a second year victory. Welcoming the group along with President Rolle were GBPA’s Chief Financial Officer, Dean Seymour, and Derek Newbold, Business Development Manager.
