F.R.E.N.D.S. Book Club celebrates 10 years of inspirational reading among ladies in Grand Bahama encourage reading for spiritual growth.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island - F.R.E.N.D.S. Book Club celebrates 10 years of inspirational reading among ladies in Grand Bahama and has set aside the month of September to give back to the community with a number of reading initiatives and book donations. The community is also encouraged to make reading a part of their lifelong learning.

The Book Club was founded by Mrs. Emil Symonette whose passion is to enhance female advancement and development in the Word of God through in-depth reading of The Bible and Christian books with discussions and occasional visits by local authors.  This equips the woman of God for service in her local church and in The Kingdom of God.

The Book Club comprises of three chapters of 33 ladies of various denominations and professions.  Each chapter has a Saturday in the month that it meets.  Every member is placed on the calendar to host and to present a selected book.

In an effort to promote and encourage reading  F.R.I.E.N.D.S Book Club has scheduled the following events:

September 4th  - Live Talk Show with DOVE103.7fm
September 5th  - Give-Away of Free Books (Food Stores, etc.)
September 6th  - Worship Together
September 7th  -  Reading at Old Folks Home
September 8th  - Evening Walk that Concludes with Reading
September 9th  - Fast and Pray
September 10th - Reading at Freeport Primary School
September 11th - Visitation to Youth Groups
September 12th - Anniversary Dinner
