On Friday 17th June, from 7-9pm, the premier event of this year's "The Dollar That Could" campaign is being held.  This is a Cocktail Reception and Silent Auction and is taking place at Pelican Bay.  The Campaign this year is in aid of the Humane Society, Children’s Home and Pilot Club.  Tickets are $50 per person. You can contact me or Jaye Andrews (727-5476) for information on how/where to purchase your tickets.  The auction will feature a wide array of fabulous items up for bid for so please bring your cheque books or cash to support this great cause.

Lastly, on Saturday June 25th from 10am to 2pm the ever popular flea market and car boot sale returns. This time taking place at the Garden of the Groves.  Anyone wishing to sell their own goods can reserve a ‘boot’ space, $20 payable on the day, and not only could you have a spring clean and make space in your house but take home some well earned dollars for your effort.  The ‘boots’ will be in the shaded area of GoG.  Anyone who would like to attend to browse the flea market and car boot vendors will be able to take advantage of free admission to the Garden of the Groves that day.  Also, if you visit the Humane Society stall you will be able to get a voucher for a reduced microchip for your pet to use on a future occasion.
