The
Grand Bahama Port Authority, Limited and Group of Companies understand
the importance of the role of a corporate sponsor. Therefore, it was
without hesitation, that the Group formed a team of employees, who were
willing to lace up their sneakers and participate in the Lucayan
International School’s (LIS) 5K fund raising efforts in aid of The Grand
Bahama Children’s Home.
This
past Saturday, commencing and finishing at Banana Bay restaurant, 8
employees were sponsored by the Group to take part in the run. Spear
headed by LIS Head of Science, Mr. Lee Rawlison, the school’s first
annual ‘L.I.S. Turkey Trot’, through numerous sponsorships, hosted an
event which was 100% pure profit.
“For
over 30 years our company has played a vital role in the administrative
and maintenance support extended to The Grand Bahama Children’s Home.
Members of our Group are thrilled at yet another opportunity, this time
by running, to once again aid in the fund raising efforts of one of our
island’s vital child care institutions,” shares Ginger Moxey, Vice
President of The Grand Bahama Port Authority Limited and Group of
Companies.
The
Grand Bahama Children’s Home is a nonprofit organization that provides
community support to children in need of care and protection. The Grand

remind the public that we all must do our part to support charitable
organizations, as we all play a crucial role to better the lives of the
