Freeport, Bahamas - World Mental Health Month was
observed globally on October 10th, 2014 under the theme “Living with
Schizophrenia”. After a series of successful activities including radio
talk shows and the annual forum, the Psychiatric team of Grand Bahama
Health Services culminates the month of events with an inter high school
video competition.
The 30 seconds video is based on this year’s
World Mental Health theme and will run from October 20 - 27, 2014.
Participants include all public and private high schools throughout
Grand Bahama. They are required to upload their entries on facebook for
the viewing public.
The public is therefore invited to visit the
facebook page 2014 World Mental Health Day – Grand Bahama High Schools
Video Competition and click “like” for their video(s) of choice. The
videos with the most “likes” will receive the top three prizes. The
winners will be announced on October 31, 2014.
The Psychiatric
team is extremely pleased with the enthusiasm and level of cooperation
exhibited by the schools. Their deepest appreciation is extended to
the Principals, Teachers and Students for their overwhelming support,
and to you the public for your participation in this exciting event.
