Dottie, "the spottie Dalmation Dog" of Who let the dog out? and Feeling Hot, Hot, Hot - Dottie Too, two Bahamian novels by Carole Hughes written about Dottie, went missing on July 5th. After much worry, and lots of emails and posters being placed everywhere, Dottie walked into her yard on July 10th  looking fit as a fiddle! Her owner said she was with a wild companion and acting as if nothing had happened.  Could this be the next Dottie tale in the making?

The following is a letter from her owner:

Robbin,

Dottie is back!!!! She turned up on my doorstep at 2am, my neighbour's son knocked on my door to wake me up and she just strolled in! She does not have a mark on her and is very clean. She didn't want food or water and just went to bed as usual. This morning she woke up and wanted her customary treat at the customary time! She was very out of breath, but otherwise totally ok. She really is Spottie Dottie the brave and fearless Dalmatian Dog!!!  Thank you sooo much for your lovely ad and all your loving support. Could you please tell everyone that she is home safe and sound?

Thanks,
Carole
