The tranquil setting of the Rand Nature Centre was the perfect backdrop for the Humane Society of Grand Bahama’s “We Are All God’s Creatures” Arts & Crafts Show and Sale on Saturday evening. Many local and international artists and artisans displayed a wonderful variety of their work, and sales proceeds were donated back to the HSGB.

Over 200 guests enjoyed popular local acoustic soloist Ryan Carroll’s music while perusing the arts and crafts, and enjoying delicious hors d'oeuvres and cocktails. Many also renewed their HSGB memberships or signed up as new members.
HSGB Treasurer Penny Ettinger, the event coordinator, said “We are just thrilled by the amazing attendance at this evening’s party and show, and so thankful to everyone who supported the vital work of our shelter, and our homeless animals.”

Special thanks to Paula Farrington and Freeport Printing for the artwork and poster; the Rand Nature Centre for the venue; Barbara Stollery and helpers Bev Hall and Karen Matlack for organizing the food; artists Del Foxton and Boryana Korcheva for curating the show; musician/singer Ryan Carroll; and the Grand Bahama Artists’ Association for their support and assistance. Much gratitude also to the talented and generous artists and craftspeople who participated, and all our supporters who contributed to the food table.

Memberships to the HSGB start at only $30 for individuals and include benefits such as 10% discounts on shelter services. For more information on becoming a member please stop by the shelter, email info@hs-gb.org, or call us at 242.352.2477.
