Hutchison Port Holdings’ Bahamas employees united for a beach clean-up on Lover’s Beach, Eight Mile Rock. The group consisted of employees from Freeport Container Port, Freeport Harbour Company and the Grand Bahama Airport Company.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island  - Following a successful recycling initiative launched on 19 September which included terminal clean-ups and recycling campaigns, Freeport Container Port (FCP), Freeport Harbour Company (FHC) and Grand Bahama Airport Company (GBAC) wrapped up their participation in the joint environmental campaign launched by parent company Hutchison Port Holdings Limited (HPH) and DP World under the banner “Recycling Begins & Ends With You”. FCP, FHC and GBAC took part in a beach clean-up on Xanadu Beach in Freeport and Lover’s Beach in Eight Mile Rock on 20 September.

The “clean-up” team consisted of employees from all three business units as well as family members. A team from the Bahamas National Trust provided assistance with the collection of the large amount of debris found on the beaches.

Approximately 200 bags of garbage from both Xanadu and Lover’s Beach were collected weighing roughly 3350 pounds.
