FREEPORT, Grand Bahama, Freeport Container Port ( FCP), Freeport Harbour Company (FHC) and Grand Bahama Airport Company (GBAC) recently made a cash donation to the Chart House Feeding Center, a local charitable organization and ministry that provides food and other assistance to local residents who are experiencing economic hardships.

Phillip Carey, Airport Director of Grand Bahama Airport Company (GBAC), and Raymond Jones, Chief Operating Officer of FCP, Freeport Harbour Company (FHC) and GBAC , made the donation in person, at the same time praising the work of the charity and its founders – Raoul and Karen Armbrister.

“Raoul and Karen Armbrister left highly successful careers and applied their corporate skills and professional network to establish and manage the Chart House Feeding Center, an organization built on character, operated with integrity, and motivated to help the lives of those in need. We are happy to assist their project,” said Mr. Jones.

The diverse charitable activities of t he Chart House Feeding Center include feeding economically disadvantaged local residents, as well as offering social integration, job training, counseling, leadership and team-building programs. The center also builds boats and donates them to families that fish for a living to help them recover from hurricane damage.

The center even provides daily necessities. “Through donations we distribute food items to those who have kitchens as well as clothing, linens, towels and household goods as they are available,” said Raoul Armbrister.
