Grand Bahama Island - Lucaya International Visual Art students (Year 13)  are excitedly preparing for their final art exhibition this week.  Pictured (left to right) are Marjolein Luijckx, Sabrina Winter, and Taylor DeVries the three students whose work will be on exhibition.  This show marks the culmination of a two year course of study in one area of the International Baccalaureate programme,  only part of the  6  subjects these students will take along with the extended essay and theory of knowledge course.   The students will be displaying art work that covers a number of themes,  showing links with other cultures and exploring the work and styles of Bahamian art and artisans.

The exhibition will be open to the public for two days, April 1st and 2nd from 8.30 am until 4pm, and the school welcomes all interested persons.   The student's work will then be  seen by an International Baccalaureate examiner  who will visit the school and interview the students.  Interested visitors are welcome to come directly to the school and stop by the office to be shown to the exhibition, or they can contact the LIS at 373-4004 for group visits. The students and the school thank the public for their continued support.
