The local Grand Bahama alumni Chapter celebrate Founders day, commemorating 104 years of existence.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island - The local Grand Bahama alumni Chapter celebrated Founders day, commemorating 104 years of existence. Kappa Alpha Psi (ΚΑΨ) is a collegiate Greek-letter fraternity with a predominantly African-American membership. Since the fraternity's founding on January 5, 1911 at Indiana University Bloomington, the fraternity has never limited membership based on color, creed or national origin. The fraternity has over 150,000 members with 721 undergraduate and alumni chapters in every state of the United States, and international chapters in the Bahamas, United Kingdom, Germany, Korea, Japan, United States Virgin Islands, Nigeria, and South Africa.[2]

The local Grand Bahama alumni Chapter would have celebrated it Founders day commemorating 104 years of existence. Local elections were held where Kevin Stuart was elected Polemarch replacing Kem Stuart who was honored for many years of dedicated service. The organization main aim will be giving back to the community, with special emphasis on our young men.
