Grand Bahama Island - Two weeks ago three sixth grade students at Lucaya International School asked their fellow schoolmates, family and the GB Community to help them collect nonperishable foods for the Grand Bahama Children’s Home.

This was all part of their "Action" to help the cause they are studying for their end of year project.   Over the last two weeks the students collected canned food, drinks, pastas, etc..  Yesterday they delivered the goods to the home to Assistant Administrator Caron Smith.

"We are thrilled with this donation, as you know summer is here and we will have kids home all the time and they tend to eat a lot more over the holidays.  So this donation has come at a  perfect time."  Mrs. Smith personally thanked each student and then gave them a tour of the home.
