Kerel thanks her sponsors!
|
Freeport, Grand Bahama Island - On November 13, 2011
Miss Bahamas Earth hosted her official Send Off Party at Rooster's in Freeport in honour of her
sponsors. Miss Bahamas Earth said she wanted her send-off party
to be a little different. Instead of revealing her wardrobe as in most pre-pageant events, she decided
to showcase items from the sponsoring stores that were still available
for purchase, as a way to give back to them,
and to also keep her wardrobe a surprise for her upcoming participation at Miss Earth in Thailand. She promises to keep everyone
updated through her Facebook Fan page with the wardrobe
she will be wearing while competing overseas.
The send off evening was filled with fashion, fierce models, and a whole lot of partying. The event was hosted by
Dj Sky of Mix 102, and the fashions that were showcased were Divine Beauty / Leshan Ferguson; Yorz / Tommi, a new line of hair
pieces; Complex Apparel / David Wallace; and Creative Eyes Costumes / Da Dawn Charlton Pinder. Da Dawn is also the designer of Kerel’s
warrior costume that she will take to Miss Earth, and the theme for this
year’s Miss Earth is “Forest Warriors”. The fashion show also
featured gowns from some of Kerel’s most faithful sponsors, Seventeen
and Bandolera.
Kerel was joined by seasoned models on the runway to
help her display her sponsoring store's fashions. The models included:
Nikie Severe, Miss Grand Bahama 2009; Yamease Swain, Miss Teen Bahamas;
Shequera King, Nu Face model; Faye Thompson, member of Top Models of
the Bahamas Association; and Brooke Sherman, former Miss Bahamas contestant.

to thank everyone who supported her in her journey to Miss Earth, so
she ended the evening’s program by publicly recognizing all her sponsors.

to support Kerel and the Miss Bahamas Beauty Organization included

in the Miss Bahamas Earth Pageant), Sky Bahamas, Burger King, Rooster's,

love and support given to her by the Miss Bahamas Beauty Organization
and the sponsoring companies that came on board. She promises to do
her best to make The Bahamas proud!
