Freeport, Grand Bahama Island - The Movement Incorporated is a non-denominational, not-for-profit organization with a commitment to living out the message of the Kingdom of God on earth, thus we have extended beyond the traditional church walls to reach the unchurched members of our senior community, at risk youth, orphans and those dealing with social ills.

On Monday, March 30th The Movement partnered with Mr. Dudley Ward, owner of Mary Ann’s Restaurant and The Department of Social Services Freeport and Eight Mile Rock to serve hot breakfast to members of our senior citizens community, who normally come early in the morning waiting to collect benefit assistance cheques. We were elated to have been able to serve these most precious members of our community. Our mission is to equip, empower and encourage individuals with the message of The Kingdom.

The Movement Inc. was founded and co founded by Karen Y. and Leo A. Douglas. Since1986 Leo has lived with a passion to equip, empower and encourage those individuals mentioned earlier, that they will no longer be pushed aside; instead, through the exercise of their uniqueness they will be included in the work of building God’s Kingdom on earth!

Karen & Leo Douglas together are parents of seven children and mentors to countless others. They both grew up in very humble beginnings and have vowed to rescue as many as possible from the grips of social ills, homelessness and hunger. Leo often declares that we are created to serve!
