was held at the Gerald A. Bartlett Complex, Freeport, Grand Bahama, on
Friday 20th June.
The Squad, made up of 28 members of the Royal Bahamas Police Force,
Northern Division, performed numerous drills with military precision
whilst their families looked on with pride...

Well known insurance executive, Dashwell Flowers Shot during armed robery - May 11, 2008 - 7:15:15 PM
A well known Grand Bahama insurance company executive is presently hospitalised with serious injuries, after being shot during an armed robbery that occurred at his residence, late Saturday evening (10.5.08).
At about 10:45pm said evening,a female telephoned the duty officer at the Police Dispatch Centre in Freeport and reported that her neighbour in Treasure Cove, Fortune Bay: Colina Imperial executive Mr Dashville Flowers, had just been robbed and shot at his residence.
As a result, uniformed and plainclothes officers accompanied by EMS personnel, were dispatched to that location.

Boating accident on the Grand Lucayan Waterway - May 1, 2008 - 11:02:27 AM
Two Grand Bahama male residents are presently detained at the Rand Memorial Hospital, recuperating from serious injuries they sustained after being involved in a boating accident on the Grand Lucayan Waterway on Wednesday evening (30.4.08).
It was around 9:30pm, when George Gibson,60 yrs of Fortune Bay Village and James Sears,57 yrs of Shipton Drive, were travelling east along the Waterway in their 21 ft open hull white and black Sea Hawk boat, with a single Yamaha 200 hp outboard engine, returning from a fishing trip.
As they were passing underneath the 35 ft high Casuarina Bridge, Mr. Gibson, who was driving the speed-boat, somehow veered off from the navigable channel and crashed into one of the bridge's concrete support-structures...

Sudden Death on Grand Bahama - 4.4.08 - Apr 6, 2008 - 11:33:17 AM
Central Detective Unit officers on Grand Bahama are presently investigating the death of a female Bahamian resident and the bizarre circumstances surrounding the same. At about 11:45am on Friday 4.4.08, CDU and Lucayan Division officers proceeded to Falston Apartments, situated on Indiana Lane, Bahama Reef, to investigate reports of a foul odour emanating from Apt #6.
They were met by a 56 yr old male, who informed them that his mother, who occupied that Apartment, had been suffering from diabetes and died nine days ago on March 27th 2008.
