Death Notice: Kimberly Goodwin Chorniewy

Kimberly Layne Goodwin Chorniewy , age 57, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016 peacefully at her home in Jupiter, Fl after a lengthy battle with liver cancer.  She was born September 3, 1958 in Miami, Florida before moving to Freeport, Bahamas with her parents Gale and Buddy Goodwin.

Kim attended St. Paul's Methodist School and Freeport High School. After schooling in Freeport it was time for Kimberly to continue her education in Florida at both Howey-in-the Hills for high school followed by a degree from Flagler College. An executive career in the hotel industry followed with numerous stops, one in particular was with the Palm Beach County Convention and Visitors Bureau. 

Kimberly's final 16 years however were spent as a National Sales Manager at the beautiful Breakers Hotel Palm Beach, Fl.  During her tenure she became a member of the FSAE Advisory Committee also being named 2012 Associate of Year by the same committee. Kimberly was preceded in death by her sister Kelly Goodwin.  She is survived by her Husband Jim Chorniewy; children Lauren Halvorson, Taylor Hunter, Justin Chorniewy ;mother Gale Goodwin; father Buddy Goodwin; brothers Donald Goodwin, Bruce Goodwin, Dustin Goodwin; Grandchildren Kendley and Brooks Halvorson;many wonderful nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30am Thursday, March 31, 2016 at First Presbyterian Church, North Palm Beach. The family will accept flowers to the church or a donation in Kimberly's name to the Sari Center at Good Samaritan Hospital.
