"This is a very sad day for us at the Grand Bahama Port Authority. We in the space of six months have lost two of the three pillars of modern Freeport" said Sarah St George, GBPA Vice Chairman. "My father Edward St George, Sir Jack Hayward and Sir Albert worked happily together for over 30 years and lived long and fruitful lives achieving much and contributing more. Sir Albert was a larger-than-life figure, distinguished, statesmanlike and above all a family man at heart. He was the symbol of success in Grand Bahama. Through hard work, dedication and passion for Freeport, he became the first Grand Bahamian Co-Chairman of the Grand Bahama Port Authority. We respected him immensely. He was a dear friend to whom all could turn for advice and guidance. He was so dedicated to the GBPA that he never missed a single board meeting in all the years." "Our heartfelt condolences go to his widow Laurie Lady Miller, his daughter Deborah and sons Russell and Tony and the rest of the Miller family. May he rest in peace! "
