Statement of condolences to Deputy Prime Minister on behalf of the IDB’s Country Representative

At this time, we at the Inter-American Development Bank Country Office Bahamas extend our condolences to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Hon. K. Peter Turnquest on the passing of his mother.

We know this moment is filled with profound sadness and emotions and we extend our deepest sympathies to his family. Our thoughts and prayers are with them and we hope the precious memories of her will offer some solace in these challenging times.

Words can never express the loss one feels when a parent passes away, but we offer this heartfelt saying:

“A mother will always be with us; First in her lifetime, then forever in our memories.”
