This New Year may all your dreams turn into reality and all your efforts into great achievements!

It has been another wonderful year for The Bahamas Weekly and we wish to take the opportunity to say THANK YOU to our viewers, subscribers, our advertising members and clients, our media partners, contributing photographers, and our valued columnists.

We could not have achieved top placement in Google, Yahoo and other search engines with so many of our articles without your support.

The Bahamas Weekly proudly supports and sponsors the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce, the Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce, Islands of the World Fashion Week, Bahamas International Film Festival, the Mark Knowles Celebrity Tennis Invitational, the Conchman triathlonthe Miss Grand Bahama Beauty Pageant Organization, Santa's Helpers, Bahamas' snowboarder Korath Wright, the Sir Charles Hayward Library, the Grand Bahama Red Rose Ball, the National Art Gallery of the Bahamas, Bahamas Air Sea and Rescue (BASRA Nassau and BASRA Grand Bahama), and Supermodel of the Bahamas.

In 2009 we've provided thorough coverage of the Miss Universe Pageant, and we have video interviews with Donald Trump, Sir Sean Connery, Johnny Depp Iyanla Vanzant, Susan Taylor (Essence Magazine), Bahamian celebrities and athletes, politicians and many more! In 2009 we went on the road outside of the country to Turks and Caicos, and New York, NY to make contact with other Bahamians.

Our television channel, in conjunction with Grand Bahama Tourism, GBI Tourism TV (local channel 56/800 digital) was soft launched in November 2008 and it was throughout 2009 that many in Grand Bahama were able to view the many exciting tourism attractions and hear a few words from notables and celebrities who have visited the islands. Stay tuned for big things to come with this tourist/hotel channel as we will be sharing ways you can advertise your tourist attractions with us!

The Bahamas Weekly is here to serve the community of The Bahamas. It is our aim to provide positive content. We intend to depict the better-side of life in The Bahamas, and share how Bahamians are indeed people helping people. We provide a venue for Bahamians to feel connected to one another no matter what island of this archipelago they live on, or even if they now live abroad.

There are many exciting things coming up in 2010 as The Bahamas Weekly will endeavor to give you more views from around this beautiful archipelago thanks to SkyBahamas Airlines

Although The Bahamas Weekly is 'news' based, we prefer to reflect positive news. Not to dismiss that we are faced with challenges as a reality in our daily lives, but we prefer to offer solutions to these challenges. We prefer a "Don't just say it, do something about it!" attitude.

We are non-partisan.

We are here to assist those charity groups that do not have the means to advertise themselves. Please let us HELP YOU! Please check out our new ROTARY section under "Community - Service Organizations". We realize that Rotary groups support those in need in The Bahamas so we are giving Rotary a place to be heard for FREE.

Our website is updated daily with fresh content. Our E - News Feed (top articles of the week) goes out every Friday reminding our viewers to view our content again and again. We are quickly becoming the portal for The Bahamas.

Our subscribers are Bahamians living in The Bahamas or abroad, as well as anyone with an interest or affiliation to The Bahamas. We have many international subscribers. We THANK you!

Specializing in video and audio streaming, we carry a wide array of interesting and informative interviews and we are leading the way in event coverage. Daryl Hannah, Ving Rhames, Deon Estus of WHAM, Luther Blissett, Thomas Kretchmann Forbes Magazine, bestselling author, Terry McMillan , radio personality Sybil Wilkes, and many other interviews to view.

The backbone of our site is our extensive Event Calendars for Grand Bahama, New Providence, and the Family Islands. Find out what is going on! Get YOUR EVENT mentioned in our Calendars, a FREE service!
