About Azaleta:

Past work history includes sales and marketing positions for multinational corporations in Canada and The Bahamas.

Former Marketing Director for Bahamas Supermarkets which operates a chain of 11 grocery stores. Single handedly established and ran the marketing dept., built, coordinated and published all advertising and promotions. Developed successful vendor program raising significant funds for project.

Regional marketing manager for CIBC (now First Caribbean Bank). Helped position the bank's ranking from third place to second place in the Nassau market. Bank received enormous publicity during my tenure.

Other experience: Compliance Officer for bank's client, sales and marketing director at Nassau Cruises and marketing director for Bahamas Supermarkets. Marketing coordinator in Canada for a multinational computer company, had own freelance business and worked in the print industry.

Rotarian since 1995 with perfect attendance at the Rotary Club of Southeast Nassau. Past secretary, board member for 4 years. Paul Harris Fellow. Recipient of awards - Club Service, Vocational Service and recently in July 09.  Outstanding Rotarian.

Azaleta is passionate about people and particular charity work. Enjoy cooking and entertaining.  Maybe you've tried her pre-mixed curry powder and mango chutney that she sells under the "Azaleta" brand? She love the great outdoors, the ocean and being on boats! She has two wonderful girls and is married to Alain Torchon-Newry.
