WASHINGTON, D.C. - Assistant Superintendent Earl Thompson, Analytical Inspector, and Inspector Aaron Wilson, Firearms Examiner, both of the Scientific Support Services of the Royal Bahamas Police Force, graduated from the Caribbean Basin Security Initiative (CBSI) Introduction to Forensic Firearms Examination Course on Friday, July 24, 2015, at the National Laboratory Centre of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, in Ammendale, Maryland. Assistant Superintendent Thompson and Inspector Wilson were among ten Caribbean nationals graduating from the course.
In attendance at the graduation ceremony was Superintendent Elburt Ferguson of the Royal Bahamas Police Force, who presented tokens of appreciation to officials of the Bureau Force for their significant contribution to training in the area of forensic firearms examination.
The Embassy of The Bahamas in Washington D.C. was duly represented by Ms. Krissy Hanna, Second Secretary/Alternate Representative to the OAS.
