Association of Caribbean Commissioners of Police to hold their 27th AGM and Conference in The Bahamas

Paradise Island, The Bahamas -  The Executive and members of the Association of Caribbean Commissioners of Police (ACCP) will hold their 27th Annual General Meeting and Conference at the Atlantis Coral Towers, Paradise Island, the Bahamas from 21st – 25th May, 2012.

Delegates are expected to arrive on the 20th May and depart on the 26th May 2012.  The theme of this year’s conference is: “Transforming National Success into Regional Action: successful Partnership for effective Policing”, and in terms of its objectives the conference is intended to bring together policy-makers, technocrats, public and private sector partners, and practitioners to discuss collaborative and cooperative approaches to public safety and regional security. The expected outcome of the conference is the identification of new strategies and initiatives that will facilitate reform in regional policing.

The conference presenters and panellists will include academics, security professionals, government officials and representatives of regional and international organizations and agencies, who have an interest, knowledge and expertise in the various subject matters that will be discussed. .

The Right Honourable Prime Minister, Mr. Perry G. Christie, will be the keynote speaker for the official opening ceremony.
