Ambassador Newry signs book of condolences for H.E. Carlos Morales

WASHINGTON, D.C. - His Excellency Dr. Eugene Newry, Bahamas Ambassador to the United States, signs the book of condolences to H.E. Carlos Morales Troncoso, former Vice President and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic, on Tuesday, October 28, at the Embassy of the Dominican Republic, 1715 22nd Street, N.W.  Ambassador Newry also delivered a Diplomatic Note on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Mr. Morales Troncoso, who died on Saturday, October 25, was Vice President of the Dominican Republic from 1986 to 1994 and its Foreign Minister from 2004 to 2014. Former Foreign Minister Morales Troncoso was instrumental in facilitating recent agreements with The Bahamas regarding trade and proactive measures against illegal fishing by Dominican nationals. Looking on is Mr. Jose Luis Dominguez, Minister Counselor, Embassy of the Dominican Republic.
