WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Mrs. Paulette Zonicle, Bahamas Consul General to Washington, D.C., hosted a dinner at her Fort Washington, Maryland, home on Wednesday, October 8, 2014, for the Hon. Jerome Fitzgerald, Minister of Education, Science and Technology; the Hon. Michael Halkitis, Minister of State for Finance; and Mr. John  A. Rolle, Financial Secretary. Mr. Fitzgerald was in Washington for a series of meetings on education-related matters, and Mr. Halkitis and Mr. Rolle were visiting the U.S. capital for the annual meeting of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group (WBG), which each year brings together central bankers, ministers of finance and development, private sector executives, and academics to discuss issues of global concern, including the world economic outlook, poverty eradication, economic development, and aid effectiveness.
