Bahamas Consulate General Atlanta 43rd Independence Celebration

The Bahamas Consulate General Atlanta hosted a weekend of Independence events to commemorate the 43rd Independence Anniversary of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas.

Friday, July 8th 2016 - The Bahamas Consulate General hosted a "Toast to the nation" Reception at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough for the diplomatic corp, local Bahamians, Bahamian members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and friends of The Bahamas. The consulate also honored ten (10) Bahamians in the Atlanta Metro Area under the 43rd Independence theme" Honoring our people's excellence, the acronym of Hope."

Saturday, July 9th 2016- The Bahamas Consulate General in conjunction with Popeye's hosted a 43rd Independence Celebration "Ole Fashioned Picnic" in Grant Park, Atlanta

Sunday, July 10th 2016- The Bahamas Consulate General Ecumenical Service  was held at the Divine Order Church, Marietta GA. Staff members of the consulate and the Bahamian diaspora came together to give thanks for forty-three years of independence.
