WASHINGTON, D.C. – The staff at The Bahamas Embassy Consular Annex received a generous donation of cricket equipment from Mr. Tanveer Abbas, a Pakistani businessman based in the D.C. area.  Mr. Abbas, an avid cricket lover, met Greggory Taylor, President of the National Cricket Association and members of The Bahamas National Cricket Team, when the team travelled to D.C. in July 2016 to compete in cricket matches with the Washington Cricket League. Mr. Abbas subsequently visited The Bahamas and was inspired by the hard work and dedication of The Bahamas Cricket Association and felt motivated to assist the country in its efforts to promote and cultivate the sport.
