Germany - His Excellency, Mr Eldred Bethel presented his Letters of
Credentials to the President of Germany Joachim Gauck at the Court of
Honour of Schloss Bellevue in Berlin Germany. High Commissioner Bethel is The Bahamas’ representative to Germany.
During Ambassador Bethel’s official visit, a luncheon was held in
his honour with various dignitaries in attendance. Discussions included
The Bahamas’ bilateral relations with Germany, CARICOM relations,
CARIFORUM-EU matters, scholarship programmes, an overview of the Dual
System for Professional Training, possibility of The Bahamas’
representation within various Germany-based organisations to advance
cultural and business exchange.
