OTTAWA, Canada – The Bahamas High Commission is pleased to advise the Bahamian public that it will be holding its first Passport Clinic in Vancouver, British Colombia from 15 to 18 June 2016 at Holiday Inn & Suites Vancouver Downtown, 1110 Howe Street, Vancouver, British Columbia, V6Z 1R2. The Bahamian public would recall the High Commission's Survey to ascertain the number of persons residing in Western Canada and who require passport renewals, and to determine when and where to conduct passport clinics.

The aim of these clinics is to facilitate passport applications for applicants who reside in cities outside of Ottawa, Ontario, particularly as handwritten passports were made invalid in February 2016 in accordance with the International Civil Aviation Standards.

To book an appointment to attend the Passport Clinic, please contact The Bahamas High Commission at 613-232-1724. Individuals will need to ensure that they arrive at the passport clinic with all required documents including US Money Order/Bank Draft and a prepaid/self-addressed courier envelope that will facilitate the transport of their newly issued passports to their home address.

For more information on application requirements and to download a Passport Renewal application please visit:http://www.bahighco.ca/…/citizenshipfirst-time-applicants.h…

Individuals interested in meeting with Second Secretary/Vice Consul Ms. Marjorie Julien to discuss matters relating to Bahamian immigration applications, authentication of documents, consular assistance and any other concerns/questions you may have regarding your interests in Canada should contact the High Commission to book an appointment.

The High Commission held a Passport Clinic in Nova Scotia at the end January and one will be held in Toronto in July of this year.
The High Commission thanks you for your continued support and cooperation and remains at your service.
