Bahamian leader and bestselling author, Dr. Myles Munroe will speak in the Fisk University Memorial Chapel on Monday, February 24, at 7pm in honor of Black History Month. The announcement came from
president of Whitaker House Publishers, Mr. Bob Whitaker. The event is free and open to the public.

Dr. Munroe, who is also a featured author at the internationally renowned National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) Convention taking place at Opryland in Nashville Tennessee Feb. 22-25, 2014 will join top authors from around the world to introduce his new book – “The Power and Priority of Character in Leadership”. Dr. Myles Munroe is scheduled to speak on “The Power of Character in Leadership” in Nashville Feb. 24-25 a special guest at both organizations.

The beloved author and motivational speaker was invited to speak at Fisk University, which is one of the leading and oldest Black Universities in the United States and as their special guest during this special month of Black History Month in the Unites States.

Dr. Myles Munroe will be in Nashville Feb. 24-25 speaking to audiences about the important subject of his latest book, The Power of Character in Leadership, which was published by Whitaker House Publishers.

“A lack of strong leadership has made a mess of our world,” he says from his native Bahamas. “I believe character development among world leaders is the only way we’ll begin to emerge from some of the glaring problems we face,” said Dr. Munroe while being interviewed by Mr. Bob Whitaker, president of the Publishing Company.

In his new book, Dr. Munroe maintains that character is the single most important quality a leader needs to achieve his or her goals. “Character, more than knowledge, military might or wealth is what provides the power a person needs to be an effective leader. Character is the cradle of credibility for the leader,” he says.

Dr. Munroe grew up in a Bahamian family of 11 children and would overcome extreme poverty to become the bestselling author of dozens of books, consultant to world leaders, and teacher to millions worldwide through his leadership training conferences and materials.

A foundational theme he builds upon is that each individual is a leader in some capacity, and has great potential to impact the world once his or her potential is realized.

“Everyone is a leader; every person on earth has a unique area of gifting.. The focus of my leadership training has always been helping facilitate the transformation of followers into leaders, and leaders into agents of change. There are millions of people who have tremendous potential for leadership, but no one has ever encouraged them to express it and develop it.”

Dr. Munroe is founder and president of Bahamas Faith Ministries International (BFMI), a multidimensional organization headquartered in Nassau, Bahamas. He is also CEO of the International Third World Leaders Association, president of the International Leadership Training Institute, and the founder and executive producer of a number of radio and television programs aired worldwide.

In recent months he has held leadership conferences and consulted with government leaders and heads of state in a number of African, South American, and Caribbean nations. His newest release, The Power of Character in Leadership: How Values, Morals, Ethics, and Principles Affect Leaders were released worldwide on January 15th 2014 and have already become one of the fastest selling items in over 30,000 bookstores.
