DEERFIELD BEACH, FL – Stephen G. Mellor, a partner in the Deerfield Beach office of ROIG Lawyers, and has been selected for the second consecutive year to the Super Lawyers 2016 Florida Rising Stars list.

Super Lawyers, part of Thomson Reuters, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area. The result is a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of exceptional attorneys.

Mellor who is a native of Freeport, Bahamas concentrates his practice in PIP/No-Fault litigation, insurance defense, breach of contract claims, bodily injury and premises liability. His main area of legal expertise is in the interpretation of out-of-state insurance contracts, including the application of Canadian and other substantive state law to Florida insurance claims. He also handles complex cases involving admiralty and maritime issues.

He is a graduate of Salem State College (B.S., 1996) with Honours; and Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center (J.D., 2006). Mr. Mellor is a member of the Florida Bar Association and United States Federal Bars Associations for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida.
