NEW YORK - Hon. Forrester J. Carroll, Bahamas Consul General to New York, attended the New York City Housing Authority National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Branch (NAACP-NYCHA Branch) annual Legacy Awards Gala held under the theme, “The Game Change’s Next Move,” at the United Federation of Teachers, 52 Broadway, on Friday, October 2, 2015. Among those honoured was Judge J. Machelle Sweeting, NYC Civil Court Judge for the 10th District, who received the Simon Golar Leadership Award. Consul General Carroll is pictured with Judge Sweeting, a descendant of Andros, Bahamas.
