Freeport, Grand Bahama - Bahamian Chef Simeon Hall, Jr., is among the two dozen chefs in Atlanta, Georgia for the National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame Foundation 10th Annual Chefs of the World: A Taste of Fame event and the only one from the Caribbean representing The Bahamas.

Chef Hall will be the highlighted chef having travelled the farthest and plans to unveil his "fire engine bites and fried guava duff" at the cook-off on Monday, March 2 at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta.

Chefs of the World (COTW) is a fundraiser which showcases top chefs and recognizes their culinary creations. Proceeds from the event will support scholarship programmes for students pursuing a degree in the fields of Hospitality or Culinary Arts.

Chef Hall’s trip is sponsored by Immerse Bahamas and Dolphin Cove Bahamas, of Freeport.

Since arriving in Atlanta on Saturday, Chef Hall has had a live radio appearance on WAOKAM its syndicate station V103FM. He is also scheduled for a live television interview during the event on Monday on a local cooking show.

Immerse Bahamas President and CEO Ginger Moxey is elated about partnering with Dolphin Cove Bahamas to bring exposure to the exciting and vibrant culinary scene in The Bahamas and to be a part of a great opportunity to have Chef Hall, who has 20-plus years in the industry, represent The Bahamas.

Chef Hall returns home on March 3.
