Discovery Cruise Line announces dry dock and time schedule change

Discovery Cruise Line announced that the Discovery Sun will be in dry dock from September 8 – 15. This means that the Discovery Sun will sail from Freeport to Port Everglades on Tuesday, September 7 and resume service from Port Everglades to Freeport on Thursday, September 16.

In addition, on September 16 a new arrival and departure schedule will come into effect.
Departure from Port Everglades will be at 9:30 a.m., with terminal door closure at 8 a.m.  sharp.  Arrival at Freeport will be 1:30 p.m.

Departure from Freeport will be at 5:15 p.m. with terminal door closure at 4:00 p.m.  sharp.  Arrival at Port Everglades is at 10:30 p.m.

The public is reminded that the luggage policy will be in full force and effect with adherence to conventional luggage weight not to exceed 70 pounds.  Full details can be obtained at all travel agencies.  Larger size shipments can be accommodated at Discovery Express.

Discovery Cruise Line wishes to apologize for any inconvenience that this temporary break in schedule may cause and thanks the public for their continued support.
