FIU Representative in Washington, D.C. for OAS Caribbean-Pacific Conference

WASHINGTON, D.C.- Ms. Anna Isaacs, Senior Analyst of the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), was invited by The Bahamas Embassy to pay a courtesy call on H.E. Dr. Eugene G. Newry, Ambassador of The Bahamas to the United States of America, on Wednesday, April 8, 2015.

Ms. Isaacs is in Washington, D.C. to represent The Bahamas at the Caribbean Pacific Conference on Illicit Financing and Criminal and Terrorist Networks, which is being held at the General Secretariat Building of the Organization of American States (OAS).

The primary objective of the Conference is to identify the specific challenges, priorities, and needs that Caribbean OAS Member States and Pacific Island States face when confronting and preventing threats related to anti-money laundering and counter terrorism financing in their jurisdictions.

Ms. Isaacs will be accompanied to the Conference by The Bahamas Permanent Mission to the OAS.

The Conference is set to commence from 8th to 9th April, 2015.
