Nassau, Bahamas - Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA) recently won
the award for “Best Airport Website” in North America and the Caribbean at a
special recognition event hosted by Airports Council International - North
America (ACI-NA). The affair was part of
ACI-NA’s inaugural Marketing and Communications Conference held in Nashville,
Tennessee. The award was presented to
the airport that produced an outstanding website from a design, communications,
accessibility and navigation standpoint between August 2014 and August 2015. Aéroports
de Montréal and Asheville Regional Airport received honourable mentions in the
same category. Previous award winners include San Francisco International
Airport and Lambert-St. Louis International Airport.

“LPIA needed to improve its online presence to ensure that it reflected our
brand and to promote new amenities and services that are available to our
passengers. We simplified navigation of
the website to give passengers access to key airport information and created a
responsive design to deliver a consistent experience across mobile devices,
tablets and desktop computers. The new design truly captures the unique beauty
and warmth of the Bahamas that is conveyed in the physical spaces of the
airport.”
