Matthew Crouch, the Vice President of Trinity
Broadcasting Network (TBN), and his wife Laurie were among the thousands who sent
remarks of condolences to the Bahamian people in the passing of a global leader,
in the person of Pastor Dr. Myles Munroe
and his wife Pastor Ruth.
“We were awakened on Monday morning in the nation of
Singapore to the news of Pastor Myles and what had happened on Grand Bahama
Island; and we are praying for the nation, our hearts are broken in regard to
this tragedy and the fact that we will all missed him, ” said Matt Crouch.
According to Crouch, “Pastor Myles was an intricate part of Laurie’s and mine’s
vision to the motion picture industry, ministry and so many things. One of the reasons we found our way into the
motion picture industry was a service we attended some twenty-five years ago
where Pastor Myles Munroe was the speaker. In that service Pastor Myles spoke about
reaching out into the world with the kingdom message and that the kingdom of
God needed to expand into different areas in our society.”
“In a lot of ways our journey is locked up with Dr.
Myles.” In fact, he continued, “there are dozens of Christian movies being made
simultaneously now, in a lot ways Pastor Myles is the grandfather of much of
that work that was pioneered into us.”
In releasing this statement, Matt Crouch asked
that their love and condolences to all on Grand Bahama Island and in the
Bahamas at large be shared, Bahamas Faith Ministries and ITWLA (International Third World Leadership
Association). TBN recently hosted its
flagship program,
Praise The Lord, at
the Grand Lucayan Resort on Grand Bahama Island. Hundreds of Bahamians were in
attendance for this exceptional event. On October 14, 2014 TBN aired the show
exposing this island nation to its audiences around the world.
