Miss Grand Bahama wins Queen of Grapes in China

Wuhan, Hubei, CHINA - Representing The Bahamas at the Miss Friendship International Pageant in China, Miss Grand Bahama, Tempestt Stubbs is off to a great start during her pageant stay until October 9th, as she's just won a preliminary contest, 'Queen of Grapes,' out of 70 contestants from around the globe.

As a subcategory of Miss Friendship International Pageant (MFI), Miss Stubbs won Queen of Grapes based on stage presence and the ability to represent her country.

"My name being called in the front of thousands of Chinese people was amazing! They welcomed me with opened arms and it was lovely to be honoured with such an award! said Miss Grand Bahama about her win.

Miss Friendship International Pageant (MFI) is a new contest with the objective of promoting and strengthening Cultural Exchange and Friendship between China and International Countries. In this pageant, it is not just about crowning beauties alone. It is an once in a lifetime opportunity for the contestants to bond together and showcase on the World Stage that despite background differences, they can come together and produce a good show.

This is the 3rd year Dun Huang is celebrating the International Grapes Festival.  This year, for the first time, they selected 6 winners to be part of the festival.  The special subtitle winners are:
 
Queen of Grapes - Miss Bahamas
Fairy of Grapes - Miss Armenia and Miss Lithuania
Goddesses of Grapes - Miss Canada, Miss Mexico and Miss Russia.

"When asked about the pageant, Miss Grand Bahama stated that the incentive for her to enter the Miss Grand Bahama Beauty Pageant was the fact that the winner would travel to China to participate in the Miss Friendship International pageant. She has longed to travel to China and is excited to be spending three weeks there. Some of the activities and further competitions that she will be participating in are - a Welcome Reception, car parade, Miss Disco Queen competition, Miss Charm competition, Miss Talent competition, touring, filming, rehearsal, the Grand Final Pageant, followed by rest and relaxation in Beijing, before returning home."
