NEW YORK -- A book of condolence has been opened at The Bahamas Mission to the United Nations in New York to allow members of the Diplomatic Community and the Bahamian diaspora in New York to pay last respects to Dr. Myles Munroe, an internationally renowned leadership coach and spiritual leader who perished in a plane crash in Grand Bahama last Sunday along with his wife, Ruth, and seven others.

The memorial gesture was sparked by the number of telephone calls to His Excellency Dr. Elliston Rahming, Bahamas United Nations and Organization of American States Ambassador, from members of the Diplomatic Community who expressed shock and grief at Dr. Munroe’s tragic and untimely passing.

According to Ambassador Rahming, “Dr. Munroe and I were childhood friends – we were born five days apart in 1954. Even as a teenager, Dr. Munroe understood his purpose and used his special gifts to maximize his potential. He was a towering intellect, a multidimensional talent and servant of God with global appeal.”
