National Security Minister in Washington, D.C. on Official Visit With U.S. High Level Representatives

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Hon. Bernard Nottage, Minister of National Security, made an official visit to Washington, D.C. from 6th to 8th January, 2016, where he met with U.S. law enforcement, judicial and State Department officials, to discuss security related issues of mutual concern.

Minister Nottage was accompanied by a five-member delegation comprising Mr. Carl Smith, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of National Security; Mr. Garvin Gaskin, Acting Director of Public Prosecutions, Office of the Attorney General and Ministry of Legal Affairs; Ms. Lisa Johnson, Charge d’Affaires, U.S. Embassy; Mrs. Kristin Gilmore, Director, International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Section, U.S. Embassy, and Mr. Joel Farquharson, Aide to the Minister.

H.E. Eugene G. Newry, Ambassador of The Bahamas to the United States of America, Mr. Chet Neymour, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of The Bahamas, and Ms. Krissy Hanna, Second Secretary, Embassy of The Bahamas, were present during discussions held with high-level officials of the Bureaus of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement and Western Hemisphere Affairs, at the U.S. State Department, on 7th January, 2016.
