NEW YORK -- After three years at the helm of the Save our Sharks Coalition in New York, The Bahamas on Thursday, February 16, 2017, hosted some 30 Ambassadors to the United Nations at a lunch commemorating the handover of leadership of the Organisation to the Pew Charitable Trust. Over the past three years, The Bahamas Mission to the United Nations has had particular focus on the preservation of healthy Oceans and Seas and is now closely aligned with Ocean Sanctuary Alliance in pursuit of the fulfillment of UN Sustainable Development Goal 14, which is a global clarion call for conservation of healthy Oceans and Seas worldwide.
