Miss Teen Bahamas, Shamika Rolle to compete in first edition of Miss Global Teen in Brazil

Nassau, Bahamas - Representing the beautiful and picturesque 700 islands and cays of The Bahamas in the first edition of Miss Global Teen is 17 year old Shamika Rolle. This 5' 8" Bahamian beauty is currently a senior student at one of the country's most prestigious educational institutions, Kingsway Academy. She has plans to complete a Masters Degree in Law with a minor in Mass Communications.

As a teen beauty ambassador for The Bahamas, Shamika has been involved in various community activities and volunteer work which has brought awareness to various social ills including HIV/AIDS, Peer Pressure, Abstinence & Teenage Pregnancy, Violence Against Women, Cancer, Autism in Children and so much more. She also played an active role in local efforts to send immediate food and clothing supplies to the impoverished nation of Haiti. An active student, peer motivator, runway model and trained dancer, Shamika is truly a well rounded individual.

Looking forward to the competition in Brazil Shamika says, "The Bahamas is renowned for our beautiful beaches, our exquisite dishes, our vibrant culture and the warmth of our hospitable people. I intend to not only bring a flare of my country's culture, but I also anticipate making a bold statement in the international pageant arena that The Bahamas is capable of making an indelible mark on the international pageant scene - equipped with the right tools to secure another international teen title."

Shamika is being prepared for the upcoming Miss Global Teen pageant by organizers of The Bahamas’ largest and most successful teen pageant; Theodore Elyett’s Miss Teen Bahamas Organization. Shamika is excited about capturing the title of Miss Global Teen, which will be the seventh international title garnered by Theodore Elyett’s Miss Teen Bahamas Organization.

Miss Global Teen [www.MISSGLOBALTEEN.com] is organized by a team of professionals who the world's leading online magazine for international beauty pageants [www.GLOBALBEAUTIES.com]. They are also the organizers of the Miss World Brazil & Mr. Brazil competitions.

The most beautiful, dynamic, intelligent and talented teenager on the planet will walk away with the crown and sash of Miss Global Teen 2010, along with fantastic prizes, including a US$ 5000-cash award.

Over 30 countries are expected to compete in the first edition of Miss Global Teen, to be held in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, from June 28 to July 4.
