The Bahamas Accredited to Ireland

His Excellency Eldred Bethel presented his Letters of Credentials to the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins at Aras an Uachtarain, the official presidential residence on Wednesday, June 1st, 2016 in Dublin, Ireland.

Bethel is the first Ambassador to Ireland for The Bahamas.

Ambassador Bethel in his remarks stated that The Government of The Bahamas is committed  to deepening bilateral relations and cultural ties in Ireland as well as working together to achieve  international obligations on climate change and the sustainable development goals.
