Treco shows support for Bahamian students in Miami

MIAMI, Florida - The Hon. H. Ricardo Treco, Bahamas Consul General to Miami, attended the Barry University 2016 December Commencement Ceremony at the James L. Knight Center on Saturday,  December 10, 2016.

Consul General Treco was invited to participate for the third year in a row as a guest of the Dean of the School of Education, Dr. Jill Farrell, and President Sister Linda Bevilacqua PhD.

Over 30 Bahamian students received Master’s Degree as well as a number of Bahamian students received  Bachelor’s degree. The Master’s degree students were made up mostly o students who completed their studies in The Bahamas at New Providence and Grand Bahama locations.

Consul General Treco noted that he is committed to supporting Bahamian students, adding that “all of the Universities and Colleges where we have visited have expressed to us that the Bahamian students are extremely committed to their studies and excel in whatever they attempt to accomplish.”
