FISK University president welcomes Bahamian leader to address Fisk University in honor of Black History Month

President of FISK UINIVERSITY Dr. H. James Williams welcomed Dr. Munroe and his team, Mr. Chairo Munroe Son of Dr. Munroe and Charlie Masala Director of MMI of South Africa Office, to the Campus of Fisk University this week on February 25th. The program was hosted by Sharon Kay, Director of Programming of the Campus Radio Programs along with the wife of The President Mrs. Williams hosted Dr. Munroe and the team to an Official Dinner with six Fisk Bahamian students.

Dr. Munroe was welcomed to the Dinner in his honor by six Fisk University Bahamian Students who were excited to have Dr. Munroe and his son speaks to their school on the occasion of Black History Month. Dr. Munroe was then taken to the historic Fisk Memorial Campus Chapel in Nashville Tennessee to address students, faculty and community leaders on the topic of his latest bestseller – The Power of Character in Leadership.

President of Whitaker House Publishers Mr. Bob Whitaker announced today that Bahamian Leader and their Publishing Company’s bestselling author, Dr. Myles Munroe was to speak at the Historic Fisk University Memorial Chapel Monday, Feb. 24, 7pm in honor of Black History Month. The event was free and opens to the public.

Dr. Munroe after addressing the faculty, staff, students and community leaders at Fisk University in Nashville Tennessee presented copies of his Newest Book "THE POWER OF CHARACTER IN LEADERSHIP" to all the Bahamian Students at Fisk University during an autographing session at the Campus bookstore.

The beloved author and motivational speaker was invited to speak at Fisk University, which is one of the leading and oldest Black Universities in the United States and as their special guest during this special month of Black History Month in the Unites States.

Addressing the capacity crowd on campus Dr. Munroe declared; “A lack of strong leadership has made a mess of our world,” he says, “I believe character development among local, national and world leaders in every profession including parents is the only way we’ll begin to emerge from some of the glaring problems we face,” Said Dr. Munroe.

In his new book, Dr. Munroe maintains that character is the single most important quality a leader needs to achieve his or her goals. “Character, more than knowledge, military might or wealth is what provides the power a person needs to be an effective leader. Character is the cradle of credibility for the leader,” he says.

To the interruption by applause Dr. Munroe ignited the crowd stating; “It is my belief and conviction that everyone is a leader; every person on earth has a unique area of gifting. The focus of my leadership training has always been helping facilitate the transformation of followers into leaders, and leaders into agents of change. There are millions of people who have tremendous potential for leadership, but no one has ever encouraged them to express it and develop it.”

Dr. Munroe is founder and president of Bahamas Faith Ministries International (BFMI), a multidimensional organization headquartered in Nassau, Bahamas. He is also CEO of the International Third World Leaders Association, president of the International Leadership Training Institute, and the founder and executive producer of a number of radio and television programs aired worldwide.

Whitaker House Publishing Company released Dr. Munroe’s New Book worldwide on January 15th 2014 and have already become one of the fastest selling items in over 30,000 bookstores.
