North Carolina - A Charlotte family's small business sunk by the economy, is turning misfortune into relief for Haiti. They're doing it with the help of social networking.

Howard Mackie's small business went bust in the recession, leaving him with tens of thousands of bottles of water with no where to go. He saw the need in Haiti, networked with everyone he knew, partnered with a relief group and now that water is headed to Haiti.

The water will be trucked to Florida then flown to Haiti.

The group Bahamas Methodist Habitat is flying the water over and distributing it in areas that haven't seen as much relief as Port au Prince.
