Inderia Saunders of The Bahamas will represent eWoman Magazine at the White House

Nassau, Bahamas - Inderia Saunders of eWoman Magazine of the Bahamas is packing her bags to go to the White House — if only temporarily.

The pan-Caribbean publication will be a part of a regional Caribbean reporting tour on Women’s Empowerment at the end of February to travel to Washington D.C. and Atlanta, Georgia.

During the week-long program, eWoman will be meeting with U.S. government officials, NGO’s, think tanks and private sector representatives.

The magazine’s commitment to women’s empowerment will be strengthened through its attendance at the 2nd annual World Conference of Women’s Shelters and visits at the State Department’s Office of Women’s Global Issues as well as a stop at the White House’s Council on Women and Girls and Advisor on Violence Against Women, among countless other visits.

The tour comes as preparation gets underway for the 2nd annual Women’s Empowerment Summit in Nassau Bahamas on October 18, 2012— which has already captured the attention of several international and local sponsors.

The highly interactive Women’s Empowerment Summit will feature moderated panel discussions, facilitated workshops and keynote addresses, all with the purpose of identifying problems affecting women and championing for the greater goal of empowerment.

eWoman will seek to incorporate some of the highlights of the Caribbean reporting tour at the conference later in the year, in a more in-depth, comprehensive way.  They will also be featured in upcoming eWoman Magazine publications, which is now on its third issue ‘The Power of Us’.

The magazine is distributed throughout The Bahamas, Jamaica, the British Virgin Islands, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands and St. Lucia, with expansion into Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago coming soon.  Copies of the complimentary third issue of eWoman Magazine can be found this March at various places that women frequent throughout the countries: beauty salons, doctor's offices, financial institutions etc. . .
